Construction Cost

Special Circumstances
New data processing equipment
required expansion of the initial chiller plant to its ultimate designed
capacity.
Two new 400-ton water-cooled
chillers, two new 400-ton cooling towers, and associated pumps doubled
the building’s plant capacity without interrupting cooling to the
existing 24/7 Data Center.
A third variable speed
secondary pump was added to supplement the two existing secondary pumps
to distribute the chilled water through underfloor piping to the
Lieberts.
Direct digital control system
was expanded for the new equipment.
New engine house with two new
generators was installed with sound attenuation and ventilation.
Two new 10,000-gallon
underground storage tanks provide fuel for the new generators.
The emergency make-up water storage system was expanded with the
installation of a second 10,000-gallon underground storage tank.
