Rock Eagle 4-H Center Dining Hall

Scope

Complete mechanical systems design and construction phase services for a new 37,000 sq. ft., 1,200-seat dining hall with full commercial kitchen. Dining and reception areas include private dining room, private banquet room, campus staff dining room, and a combined entrance lobby/pre-function reception area.

Special Circumstances

  • Three 40-ton, multiple-circuit, split D/X air-conditioning systems with extended refrigerant line lengths.

  • Two roof-mounted kitchen hood make-up air systems with one system with electric heat and one system with propane heating.

  • Combination energy recovery unit and air handling unit providing quantity of outside air for the private banquet room per ASHRAE Standard 62-2004 requirements and with required dehumidification.

  • Air handling unit serving each 40-seat dining room configured with wrap-around heat pipes to address high dehumidification requirements for the space.

  • Three commercial grade, electric-type domestic water heaters.
