Scope

HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design and construction phase services for renovation of existing 59,000 sq. ft. two story elementary school and 17,000 sq. ft. addition to school.

Special Circumstances

• School classrooms are conditioned by water source heat pump system complete with pumps, cooling tower, heat exchanger, and boiler.

• Three energy recovery ventilators are utilized to reduce outside air load on the water source heat pump system.

• Cafeteria and multipurpose room are conditioned by packaged rooftop units independent from the other HVAC systems.

• New super efficient condensing domestic hot water heaters were installed to serve the entire school.           

• New domestic water line and pressure reducing station was installed for the school.

• New sprinkler system was installed throughout the school.

• Complete Direct Digital Controls system monitors and controls all mechanical systems from a remote site.
