Scope

Phase I:   9,300-sq. ft. expansion to existing boiler/chiller plant.

Phase II:  Addition of second 800-ton chiller, cooling tower, and related pumps to first phase

                  expansion.

Special Circumstances

        Phase I:

• Construction phased to allow continuous plant operation.

• New 800-ton chiller, cooling tower and related pumps.

• Modified existing chilled water system to convert to primary-secondary pumping with variable secondary flow via variable speed drive or secondary pump.

• Expansion of direct digital control system to serve Energy Plant expansion areas.

• Installation of 15,000-gallon, underground fuel tank and piping system to serve new emergency diesel generator.

• Expanded natural gas, water drainage and ventilation systems to serve 1,000-lb./hr. medical waste incinerator.

        Phase II:

• Additional new 800-ton chiller, cooling tower and related pumps.
