Scope

Complete tenant fit-up mechanical design and construction phase services for a 14-story building with 415,000 sq. ft. of useable space to accommodate Norfolk Southern’s needs.

Special Circumstances

• Improved Indoor Air Quality by upgrading Outside Air System with the addition of 14 new Energy Recovery Units.

• Building remained operational and occupied while construction was performed in three phases.

• Installed several 24 hour - 7 day a week areas with supplemental air conditioning utilizing base building chilled water system.  Areas included UPS Rooms, Computer Rooms, Network Observation Centers, and Call Centers.

• Designed installation of new 12,000-gallon underground fuel tank to support two new generators.

• Design of cooling and exhaust systems for 6,000 sq. ft. Print Shop.
