Provide mechanical systems
design and construction phase services for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
systems for a new 40,000 sq. ft. classroom building with administration suite
and an integral alternate basement build-out plan.
Designed water-source heat pump system for
classroom space conditioning with full building tempered water loop, and
a boiler and cooling tower to control loop temperature.
Tempered water system and cooling tower each
provided with two full-size pumps for main/standby operation.
Separate roof-mounted enthalpy-type tempered
energy recovery ventilators (ERV) with full dehumidification and hot gas
reheat, ducted separately to deliver ventilation air neutrally to each
space.
Designed fume hood exhaust with integral
tempered make-up air system for reduced ventilation loads for
second-floor science room. Gas, water, and waste piped to each lab desk
and the fume hood. Piping connections provided for future conversion of
additional classrooms into science labs.
