Special Circumstances

  • Critical phasing plan to maintain scheduled occupancy.

  • Lab fume hoods, bio-safety cabinets, lab fume hood exhaust, and laboratory general exhaust fans.

  • New 32,000 CFM, variable volume,  air-handling unit with 80% outside air/20% return air. Monitoring of outside airflow to maintain minimum make-up air.

  • Extension to existing Direct Digital Control system.

  • Renovation of existing constant volume make-up air ductwork distribution systems serving laboratory spaces.

  • Renovation of existing vacuum piping and piping system serving the renovated laboratory rooms.

  • Renovation and extension of existing cold water, hot water, natural gas, lab work, and lab compressed air systems. Lab waste included modifications of existing glass and polypropylene acid resistant piping systems.

  • Four phases of construction defined on the construction documents.
