Complete mechanical systems design and construction phase services for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to serve a new a 26,000 sq. ft. early learning classroom building.

Special Circumstances

  • A tempered energy recovery unit with enthalpy wheel was implemented to reduce outside air load on the water source heat pumps.  This unit utilizes a direct expansion cooling coil and modulating hot gas reheat to keep space humidity within design levels.

  • Two new domestic hot water heaters piped in parallel with circulating pump and mixing valve were used to serve the entire school.

  • Special considerations were taken to provide plumbing fixtures that incorporated Owner requests and provided child accessibility. Messy rooms were provided with floor drains with integral solid interceptors and hose bibs for wash down.

  • Complete Direct Digital Controls system monitors and controls all mechanical systems from a remote site.
