Scope

Complete replacement of the existing mechanical HVAC ventilation systems to improve indoor air quality in the various art studios.  Studios included Ceramics, Photography, Textiles, Print Making, Foundry and the Painting and Drawing Studio.  Replacement of the existing supply air distribution system was part of the project scope.  All new work was designed to meet current building codes.

Special Circumstances

  • Replacement of the HVAC systems for the Classroom/Studio and Office area of the building and upgrading the exhaust systems during a prolonged summer time building vacancy. 

  • The exhaust systems were upgraded to meet today's guidelines concerning ventilation and air change rates for the Art and CeramicStudios. 

  • Specialized hoods were designed where required at locations such as the Printmaking and Photography film developing sinks.
