Renovate the existing HVAC systems of the North Wing of Building #3 and incorporate a new Battery Lab into the design.

Special Circumstances

  • New variable air volume 22,000 CFM roof mounted, custom air handling unit with pre-heat coil, cooling coil, steam humidifier, and variable speed relief and supply air fans.

  • Terminal units with hot water reheat capacity.

  • Hydrogen and carbon monoxide monitoring of the Battery Lab.

  • Differential pressure requirements between laboratory and supporting spaces.

  • Acid resistant waste and vent, natural gas, compressed air serving fixtures in Battery Lab.  Compressed air regulated to two (2) different pressures.

  • Type III water system supplying fixtures in Battery Lab and a Type I point of use water system.

  • Strict environmental requirements (temperature, humidity and noise ranges) for various laboratory spaces.
