Special Circumstances
Three existing laboratory/research
buildings were interconnected through the biochemistry building.
Utilized lab differential pressure
controls to verify and maintain negative pressure within lab during
occupied and unoccupied hours.
Labs incorporate night setback
during unoccupied hours, reducing airflows and saving energy costs.
Central plant hot and chilled water
piping was extended to serve the biochemistry connector.
Utility tunnel utilized for services
with valves in corridor – access through lab ceiling not required.
Acid waste and vent system from lab
rooms routed to existing acid dilution basin.
