Design of a
new 6,000 sq. ft. data center area within an existing four-story office
building to consolidate the ISP’s existing facility and improve the mechanical
support systems and the stand-by power systems. The new systems must be
expandable to support future data center growth on other floors in the
building.

Special Circumstances
Some of the
highlights of the project include:
Three 110-ton air-cooled
chillers with provisions for a fourth to maintain N+1 redundancy of the
chilled water supply as the facility expands.
Three chilled water pump with
provisions for a fourth.
Chilled water distribution
piping with provisions for expansion.
Four custom downflow chilled
water airhandlers sized to provide N+1 redundancy of the supply air
serving the raised access floor.
Modular airhandler to provide
humidification and de-humidification of the data center space.
A 6,000-gallon underground
fuel tank serving two generators.
Direct Digital Control (DDC)
system for control and monitoring of the data center and mechanical
systems.
Ventilation system to comply with the latest Code requirements.
