Building Conversion

Scope

The work involved mechanical engineering for cooling, dust, and fume control of approximately 100,000 square foot high volume printing facility.

Special Circumstances

  • Dedicated redundant air-conditioning system including two packaged air-handling units, 35 tons cooling capacity each.

  • Two dust collection systems, 100% air recirculation type for printing and enclosures areas. 

  • Central vacuum system to cover 35,000 square feet of production space using.

  • Mechanical ventilation for mechanical room, which included the air compressors farm and vacuum system, pump and dust collector.

  • DDC control system compatible with building management control system.

  • Computer room dedicated air conditioning system interlocked with existing roof top unit, to provide system redundancy.

  • The room was also equipped with double interlocked preaction sprinkler system.
